Maynard Nexsen Welcomes Accomplished Trial Lawyer to National Employment Team
Sara Beth DeLisle Joins Labor & Employment Practice Group in Alabama
Maynard Nexsen is pleased to announce that Sara Beth DeLisle has joined the firm as a Shareholder in its nationally-ranked Labor & Employment practice group in Birmingham.
DeLisle brings significant courtroom and litigation experience to the firm, having represented clients in commercial and complex litigation matters involving healthcare, products liability, transportation liability and other high-stakes disputes. She has appeared in both state and federal courts and has served as a member of a response team to assist clients facing critical incidents and emergency situations.

DeLisle has developed a reputation for thoughtful advocacy and strategic problem-solving throughout her legal career. In addition to her litigation practice, she is an active member of the Birmingham legal community and has served in numerous leadership roles with professional and civic organizations.

A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, DeLisle earned her Juris Doctor while serving as vice president of the Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society, vice president of the Dorbin Society and a law school ambassador. She was also a member of the Alabama Trial Advocacy Competition Team and received the George "Peach" Taylor Award for Trial Advocacy Skills twice. Prior to entering private practice, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert S. Vance Jr., a civil circuit judge in Birmingham.
DeLisle earned her bachelor's degree in political science, with a minor in French, from Wake Forest University, where she attended on a Division I volleyball scholarship. Following graduation, she worked in Washington, D.C., and Madrid, Spain, before pursuing her legal career.
Her professional affiliations include the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, Defense Research Institute and the Society of International Business Fellows. She has also been actively involved with Birmingham International Center leadership initiatives and community engagement efforts throughout her career.
