2026 Maynard Nexsen LSAT Prep Course
Maynard Nexsen 17th Annual LSAT Prep Course is geared to highly motivated students who intend to pursue a career in law and whose socioeconomic status presents barriers to enlisting in LSAT Prep Courses. Offered in an interactive group setting, the class will present proven LSAT strategies and methods covering every skill tested on the LSAT exam. Acceptance into the program will be based on a completed application form, an undergraduate transcript, a resume, and a personal statement.
The LSAT Prep Course provides complete preparation by KAPLAN test prep instructors and KAPLAN’s nationally-recognized review materials. The expert instructors will be teaching through a live virtual classroom, with the opportunity for teacher/student interaction. Participants must commit to attend every live session.
Maynard Nexsen will cover the cost for the KAPLAN LSAT Test Prep Course, in addition to providing the classroom facilities and the study materials for each student selected to participate. The firm will also reimburse students for the LSAT registration fee, contingent on excellent attendance and submission of test scores after taking the LSAT exam.

2026 Maynard Nexsen Pre-Law Internship Program
May 11, 2026 - June 5, 2026
Maynard Nexsen Law Prep is open to all eligible candidates, but its primary objective is to identify undergraduate talent who are committed to pursuing a law degree and have a genuine interest and the potential to be candidates for our summer clerkship program upon entering law school. This program is open to all individuals, particularly those with diverse life experiences and a passion to enhance equal opportunity, mutual respect, fairness, and inclusivity in the legal profession.
Maynard Law Prep is designed to provide:
(1) insight into the legal industry, (2) an overview of the structure and history of the firm, (3) exposure to our attorneys and community leaders, and (4) an understanding of the firm’s role in the legal and broader community. It will familiarize the pre-law interns with various areas of practice through hosting seminars and offering practical work experiences.
The 2026 program will be based out of the firm’s Birmingham and Columbia, SC offices.
Hiring Criteria:
We are seeking students who have excelled academically, and we look favorably upon students who are engaged outside the classroom in extracurricular activities, volunteer opportunities, and/or positions of leadership.

(1) a completed application form, (2) an undergraduate transcript, (3) a resume, and (4) a personal statement by Friday, February 27. Based on these submissions, we will select a group of candidates to conduct interviews with. These interviews will be held in early March 2026. Interns will be notified promptly regarding their selection for the program following the completion of interviews.
