Overview

As an intellectual property attorney, Chris is highly experienced in all stages of drafting and prosecuting patent applications, with strong emphasis and experience in both prosecution and portfolio strategy. Chris has handled a wide range of intellectual property matters and technologies, including patents in enterprise computing systems, user computing interfaces, artificial intelligence and machine learning, aerospace control systems, wireless communications, robotics, and optical devices and scanners. In addition to patent prosecution, Chris provides opinion letters on patent invalidity, noninfringement, and other freedom to operate opinions for clients seeking to minimize litigation risk. Chris prides himself on undertaking various pro bono efforts, particularly in patent preparation, as a believer that the system is for everyone. 

With a keen understanding of the intersection of technology, software, and law, Chris approaches each case with expert insight. Chris understands how specific patent issues exist within the larger business context and works diligently to provide his clients with the specialized service they deserve while avoiding using a standardized approach that neglects the nuances of each unique case. 

While pursuing his J.D. at Brooklyn Law School, Chris served as a lead member of the patents team for the Brooklyn Law School Incubator & Policy Clinic. This experience focused on guiding solo entrepreneurs and inventors through legal matters. Before attending law school, Chris earned a B.S. in computer science at Stony Brook University and remains a strong tech lover and enthusiast.
