Maynard Nexsen Expands Construction and Commercial Litigation Team
Two attorneys with deep industry expertise join Atlanta office
Maynard Nexsen is pleased to announce that Neil Wilcove and Devon Griger have joined Maynard Nexsen’s Atlanta office. They join a growing team of construction and commercial litigators serving clients nationwide. This addition strengthens Maynard Nexsen’s commitment to providing sophisticated, industry-focused counsel across the Southeast and beyond.
Neil, joining as a Shareholder, is a seasoned commercial litigator with deep experience in the construction and real estate industries. His construction practice focuses on all aspects of construction-related disputes, representing owners, contractors, subcontractors and design team members in matters involving payment disputes, delay claims, and construction and design defects as well as other issues typically encountered on construction sites. He also assists clients in negotiating and drafting construction contracts. His commitment to the industry is exemplified by his service as past Legal Counsel and Board Member for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia, Inc. (ABC), and as Legal Counsel and Executive Committee Member with Georgia Built and the Construction Financial Management Association of Georgia (CFMA).
In addition to his construction experience, Neil focuses his attention on legislative matters that impact the construction industry. He leads the ABC of Georgia Legislative taskforce and sits on the ABC National Legislative Committee. Neil is also the proud co-host of the popular Building Leaders Radio Hour podcast which highlights the interesting careers of members of the commercial real estate and construction community.
Devon joins as an Associate representing owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in both Georgia and Tennessee. She is experienced in resolving disputes with significant construction and infrastructure projects, focusing on breach of contract, delay/disruption, and construction defect claims. Devon has also handled matters involving high-stakes mediation and arbitration.
“Neil and Devon are outstanding additions to our Construction Practice Group,” said Harper Heckman, Chair of Maynard Nexsen’s Construction Practice. “The experience, skill, and strong industry relationships—particularly in Georgia’s construction community—make them both immediate assets to our clients. We’re delighted to welcome them to the team.”
