Industry Leader Jamie Brabston Strengthens Maynard Nexsen's National Government Solutions Platform
Former Counsel for Redstone Consulting Joins Firm in Huntsville
Maynard Nexsen is pleased to announce that Jamie Brabston has joined the firm as a Shareholder in its nationally recognized Government Solutions Group, further strengthening the firm's capabilities in government contracts, compliance, and employment-related matters.
Brabston brings more than three decades of experience advising federal contractors and employers on complex regulatory and workplace issues. Widely recognized for her deep industry knowledge, practical counsel, and longstanding relationships within the government contracting community, she draws on her unique background as both a government consultant and attorney to help clients navigate evolving regulatory requirements and manage risk.
Based in the firm's Huntsville office, Brabston advises clients on government contracts compliance, employment law, workplace investigations, and labor-related matters. She works closely with federal contractors to address complex compliance obligations and regularly conducts mock compliance assessments to help organizations prepare for audits, investigations, and agency reviews.
"Jamie is one of the most respected professionals in the government contracting industry," said Andy Watson, Co-Chair of Maynard Nexsen's Government Solutions Group. "Her unique combination of legal experience, consulting insight, and deep knowledge of the federal contracting environment makes her an exceptional addition to our team. Jamie has built a reputation for delivering practical, business-focused solutions, and her addition further enhances our ability to serve government contractors across the country."

She has extensive experience responding to agency complaints and investigations involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), U.S. Department of Labor, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) issues and prevailing wage and benefits issues arising under the Service Contract Act (SCA) and the Davis-Bacon Act (DBA).
Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Brabston served as Director and Legal Counsel for Redstone Government Consulting, where she advised government contractors on labor and employment matters, compliance obligations, and workplace challenges.
