Overview

Laura is a registered Patent Agent in Maynard Nexsen’s Intellectual Property practice group. She is skilled in patent prosecution, general intellectual property practice, and technology transfer.

Laura helps lead the cultivation, assessment, protection, and commercialization of her clients' intellectual property. She has experience preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications, supporting patent and trade secret litigation, preparing invalidity/non-infringement opinions and freedom to operate analyses, and conducting extensive searches of patents and open literature using Delphion, Dialog, and chemical structure databases. She has also negotiated transactional agreements, including MTAs, CRADAs, CDAs, MOUs and CTAs.

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Laura supported patent, intellectual property, and technology transfer work at government, higher education and private entities.

Laura holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her A.B. in Chemistry, with honors, and History from Bryn Mawr College.
