Overview
Brian is an experienced attorney with over 25 years of handling various employment and labor matters. He has litigated hundreds of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cases, both on behalf of the Department of Labor and for employers in private practice. He represents private companies and city governments in employment counseling and litigation matters. His experience includes litigating claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act, and Title VII. During his time working in the U.S. Department of Labor, Brian was lead counsel in an OSHA case resulting in the third largest penalty ever recovered by OSHA and was co-counsel in the case with the largest penalty ever assessed by the agency. He was also acting counsel in charge of OSHA whistleblower investigations and litigation for a five-state area, including Texas, while at the U.S. DOL. In addition, Brian has almost a decade of experience litigating OSHA and employment cases in private practice.
Brian is driven by a commitment to client service and approaches each matter with care and strategic insight. His depth of experience in both private practice and as a senior trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor enables him to evaluate issues from multiple perspectives and deliver practical solutions.
Brian earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and holds a B.S. from the University of Arkansas.
