Maynard Nexsen’s Atlanta Office adds Elite Hospitality Real Estate Lawyer
Maynard Nexsen proudly announces a highly-regarded and experienced real estate attorney to the firm’s growing Atlanta office. Daniel R. Weede joins Maynard Nexsen as a Shareholder from the former Morris Manning & Martin firm, adding hospitality law expertise to the firm’s powerhouse real estate team of more than 100 attorneys.
Dan frequently negotiates franchise and development agreements for hotel properties across the country and has represented the world’s largest hotel brands in transactions valued at up to $1 billion. Dan guides owners, investors, and developers through the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of commercial properties. He has experience working with a wide range of asset types, including industrial, hospitality, multi-family, and mixed-use developments.

Dan’s commitment to advancing the commercial real estate and hospitality industries expands beyond his legal practice. He is a co-founder of the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting hospitality professionals through networking and development opportunities. He also served as president of the organization, helping to drive its growth and impact.
Prior to Dan’s legal career, he was an officer in the United States Navy where he served as an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Officer on the USS Spruance (DD-963) and First Lieutenant on the USS Garcia (FF-1040). Served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He is a 1987 graduate of Northwestern University, and earned his J.D. from the University of Florida, with honors, in 1995.
