Maynard Nexsen is pleased to announce that Kane Burnette has joined the firm as a Shareholder in our Public Finance practice, based in Birmingham, Alabama. Kane brings with him a wealth of experience and a distinguished track record, further strengthening one of the largest and most respected public finance teams in the Southeastern United States. 

Kane’s practice focuses on serving as bond counsel to municipalities, counties, boards of education, and public corporations across Alabama. He also advises on tax-exempt financings, economic development initiatives, and complex tax and financing issues for public universities and school boards. Kane’s background as a Certified Public Accountant (currently inactive) and his role as a faculty member at the University of Alabama’s Finance Training Academy for school administrators underscore his deep expertise and commitment to public service.
