Overview

Will is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Credit & Restructuring group.

Will focuses his practice on the representation of creditors and other interested parties in all matters involving financial distress, bankruptcy, reorganization proceedings, commercial leasing, and debt restructuring. Will represents clients throughout the United States in commercial foreclosures, fraudulent transfer and preference actions, adversary proceedings, contested bankruptcy matters, and receiverships. Will also represents clients in business disputes and commercial litigation in federal and state courts.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Selene D. Maddow in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, where he honed his legal research and drafting skills. He also gained valuable experience as a legal intern with NASA’s Office of the General Counsel, advising on government contract clauses and conducting research on federal ethics and fiscal regulations.

Will received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law. During law school, he was recognized with the Professor Jeffrey Jackson Civil Procedure Award and received American Jurisprudence Awards for Contracts I and Civil Procedure II. He also was a published member of the Mississippi College Law Review. He holds a B.S., cum laude, from Mississippi State University.
