Overview
Wes is a member of Maynard Nexsen’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group.
Wes’s practice focuses primarily in the bankruptcy and restructuring field, which includes the representation of debtors, secured creditors, unsecured creditors, creditor committees, debtor-in-possession lenders, and other entities involved in bankruptcy and distressed loans. His bankruptcy and restructuring practice involves representing clients in and out of bankruptcy courts, including achieving positive results for clients in matters involving complex litigation, foreclosures, distressed and alternative finance, and in areas of real estate, lending transactions, corporate law, and other restructuring and bankruptcy issues.
In addition to his bankruptcy and restructuring practice, Wes maintains an active real estate, transactional, and litigation practice. As to his real estate practice, Wes routinely assists clients involved in purchasing and selling real estate and negotiating and drafting lease agreements for landlords and tenants alike. In addition, Wes has experience representing both traditional and non-traditional lenders and borrowers in complex loan transactions. Wes also has significant experience in tackling a myriad of litigation matters, routinely representing clients in real estate, banking, and financial services-related litigation.
Wes received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Board and was an Associate Articles Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal. He received his B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Alabama.
