Overview

Sydney is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s employment & labor practice group.

Sydney supports employers in a wide array of complex labor and employment matters. Sydney primarily represents corporate and management defendants across industries in single-plaintiff and class/collective disputes involving alleged wage and hour claims, as well as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment-related issues. Sydney also has extensive experience counselling employers to ensure their employment policies and practices remain compliant with federal, state, and local laws. 

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Sydney practiced employment & labor law at a specialized firm in Los Angeles. Sydney also previously practiced in the general litigation group of a large, multinational law firm, where she represented clients in a wide range of industries facing commercial, securities, intellectual property and other corporate/business litigation.

With a deep understanding of employment & labor law, Sydney is a trusted partner for employers, helping them navigate the complexities of workplace compliance and cultivating a positive work environment.

Sydney holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola Law School, where she was a member of Order of the Coif and the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society. She was a Sayre MacNeil Scholar and served as a Technical Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. Sydney holds a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, where she was a member of the school’s Division I Women’s Volleyball Team.
