Overview
Sam is an Associate in the Firm’s Complex & Commercial Litigation practice group. He previously worked at Maynard Nexsen as a Summer Associate for two consecutive summers, gaining valuable experience drafting legal memorandums and participating in legal proceedings, including depositions and mediations.
Sam earned his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he served as Articles Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. During law school, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Criminal Law and also won the Parham H. Williams Trial Competition, earning recognition as Best Advocate. He holds a B.S., cum laude, from Auburn University.
Outside Maynard Nexsen
Outside of the Firm, Sam enjoys staying active through sports such as golf, basketball, tennis, and weightlifting. He also actively participates in the Walk to End Alzheimer's to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care and research.
