Overview
Robert L. Moore, III, is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Public Finance practice group. He advises governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, and private entities on public finance and transaction-related matters, including the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt bonds, notes, warrants, and other debt instruments. He also represents lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate transactions and tax credit financing transactions. Robert’s experience in educational leadership gives him a practical understanding of how institutions operate, manage competing priorities, and bring complex initiatives from planning through implementation.
Prior to joining the firm, Robert built a career in education. He began his career as a Teach For America educator and later served as an Assistant Principal. Robert brings unique experience to his legal practice.
Robert earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. He was an Ignatian Law Scholar and William L. Crowe, Sr. Scholar. He was also a member of the Loyola Journal of Public Interest Law and the Moot Court Program. Robert received multiple Asterisk Awards for earning the highest grade in his class, including Legal Research & Writing, Real Estate Transactions, and Constitutional Law.
During law school, Robert served as a judicial intern to the Honorable John H. England III, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Robert also holds a Doctor of Education from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development, a Master of Science in Education from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, and a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University.
