Richard is a skilled franchise attorney with over three decades of experience. He has built a strong nationwide reputation representing both franchisors and franchisees, giving him a unique perspective on the legal and business considerations that shape the franchise industry. 

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Richard operated his own firm, where he concentrated his practice on franchise law. Over the course of his career, he has developed deep industry knowledge and extensive experience advising clients on a broad range of franchise-related matters. 

A recognized thought leader in the field, Richard is committed to sharing his insights with the franchise community. He authors a monthly newsletter, Franchisor Alert®, which provides guidance to both emerging and established franchisors. He is also a frequent speaker on franchise law topics and has participated in industry programs, including panels sponsored by the International Franchise Association and Franchise Times.
