Overview

Prim is a Shareholder in Maynard Nexsen’s Complex and Commercial Litigation practice group.

Prim draws on her years of experience in public service, including her time with the U.S. Department of Justice as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama. In that role, she served her district and community by representing the interests of the United States in a variety of litigation matters.

Prior to her appointment as U.S. Attorney, Prim served in leadership positions with the Department of Justice in the Office of Legislative Affairs, the Office of Legal Policy, and the Office of the Attorney General. Prim also served as the Deputy Solicitor General for the Alabama Attorney General’s Office.

Outside of her public service, Prim also previously practiced with the Firm, focusing on complex litigation, class actions, and appeals. Her diverse background as a litigator across both public and private sectors expertly equips her to handle a wide range of complex legal matters.

She earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Birmingham-Southern College.  Prim clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit for the Honorable William H. Pryor Jr. following graduation from law school.
