Overview

Pierce Rigney is an associate in the Firm’s Complex and Commercial Litigation practice, where he represents individuals and businesses in sophisticated litigation, finance, real estate, and bankruptcy matters across the country.

His practice includes commercial disputes, banking and finance matters, real estate cases, and bankruptcy disputes. He regularly handles state and federal-level litigation involving a wide range of commercial and business disputes, including contract, financial, and related matters. Pierce regularly defends clients in high-profile, complex litigation and bet-the-company cases.

Prior to joining the Firm, Pierce practiced at an international law firm, where he represented a broad range of clients in complex commercial disputes and bankruptcy proceedings. He continues to bring the practical and analytical skills developed in that role to his current practice.

Pierce earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was the Lead Articles Editor for the Washington and Lee Law Review and a Co-founder of the Business and Law Association. He received his B.A. from the University of Richmond.
