Overview

With a natural affinity for connecting people, Lee Bonner Friedman finds joy in fostering important relationships and bringing diverse groups together. With seven years in the political arena, Lee has developed a unique skill set and knack for meticulous planning and execution of big projects, including some for the country’s top officials.

Before joining the Firm, Lee served as the Deputy Director of Scheduling for Congressman Kevin McCarthy, Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, a role she took on after joining McCarthy’s team in December 2018. During her tenure with McCarthy, she worked in various capacities— organizing meetings with international dignitaries, arranging domestic and foreign trips, and representing the Speaker on the 59th Presidential Inauguration Committee in 2021.

Lee graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2018, where she majored in Hospitality Management with a specialized focus in meeting management and event planning.

Outside Maynard Nexsen

Outside of work, Lee is an active contributor to Washington, D.C. charities. She serves as the Treasurer for Taste of the South, a non-profit organization dedicated to charity fundraising. She previously served as the Director of Events for the Alabama State Society, a casual gathering of several hundred Alabama natives residing in Washington, D.C.
