Overview

Kiera is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Corporate & Business Transactions practice group, which assists clients ranging in size from emerging businesses to large corporations in all aspects of their legal responsibilities. Kiera also works with the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions group to assist businesses, private equity firms, and venture capital investors with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other transactions.

While in law school, Kiera gained practical experience through Maynard Nexsen’s clerkship program and the University of Alabama’s Entrepreneurship & Nonprofit Clinic, where she provided over 170 hours of pro bono transactional legal services to small businesses and nonprofit organizations across Alabama. Her experience includes drafting contracts, advising on business formation, and assisting clients with compliance and operational needs.

Kiera earned her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served as a Senior Editor of the Alabama Civil Rights & Civil Liberties Law Review and participated in an international student exchange program with Tel Aviv University’s Buchmann Faculty of Law, where she studied Corporate Social Responsibility. She received her B.S. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Tuskegee University.
