Overview

Keating is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Corporate & Business Transactions practice group, where he manages transactional, financial, and regulatory matters, with a focus and primary involvement in corporate and business transactions, banking, and commercial finance.

He is skilled in engaging with transactional and regulatory matters related to corporate and financial organizations spanning a diverse range of industries and complexity. His experience managing and facilitating matters from inception through closing entails representing expansive client needs through entity formations and restructuring, transactional representation, finance and banking matters, regulatory review, corporate and finance document drafting and review, and facilitating transactions and matters on a client-specific basis.

Keating has experience with various types of litigation matters in federal and state courts and has engaged in trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, negotiations, and other case-specific events throughout both litigation and transactional matters. He has an extensive background in intermediate to complex case management involving document drafting and review, legal research and analysis, and client representation across various roles and industries.

Keating holds a J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he was an associate staff member for the ACTEC Law Journal, as well as Treasurer of the Dispute Resolution Society. He is a recipient of the Public Service Award (Gold Level) for his dedication to pro bono community service, highlighted by his work as President of the Veterans Legal Assistance Project.

He also holds an LL.M. in Business Law from the Florida State University College of Law with a concentration in Cybersecurity, Privacy and Technology Risk Management, and an MBA from the Hofstra University Frank G. Zarb School of Business, where he graduated as an Honors Scholar with Distinction. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Syracuse University.
