Overview
Lizz is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Public Finance Practice Group. She regularly advises cities, counties, boards of education, public utilities, public and private universities, and non-profit organizations on taxable and tax-exempt financings. She also represents regional and national financial institutions and underwriters in transactions involving public entities.
Lizz earned her J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, summa cum laude, and served as the valedictorian of her class. During her time at Cumberland, she was selected to be a Judge Abraham Caruthers Legal Writing Fellow and received multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, including honors in UCC Sales, Evidence, and Domestic Relations.
She graduated from Auburn University, cum laude, with both a B.F.A. in graphic design and a B.S. in technical and professional writing. At Auburn, she was a member of the War Eagle Girls and Plainsmen, the Student Government Association, the Student Recruiters, and a Camp War Eagle Counselor.
