Overview
Joseph is a seasoned business attorney in the Firm’s Private Markets practice group. He has years of experience representing companies across a wide range of industries in mergers and acquisitions, as well as in commercial transactions, including private placements and venture capital investments.
Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Joseph served as a Corporate and Emerging Company/Venture Capital Associate at a multinational law firm. In that role, he drafted and negotiated transaction documents, led due diligence efforts, and negotiated shareholder and management equity agreements. He also worked as a Corporate and Securities Associate at his previous law firm, gaining valuable experience advising on transactional matters and negotiating key deal documents.
Joseph earned his J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law. He holds a B.A. from Washington and Lee University.
Prior to law school, Joseph was a business owner and manager, which gives him a unique perspective that enables him to deeply understand his clients’ business needs and deliver practical, value-driven legal counsel.
