Overview
Jordan’s practice covers a variety of litigation at the trial and appellate levels in state and federal court. He has represented clients in commercial disputes, arbitrations, class actions, administrative agency proceedings, and in actions brought by and against public officials.
Jordan has an active practice in both the Alabama Supreme Court and the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. He has played a leading role in the ongoing Alabama medical cannabis litigation, securing victories for his client at the administrative, trial, and appellate levels. His work in the medical cannabis litigation and for other private and governmental clients has supplied Jordan with expertise in Alabama administrative law, allowing him to secure a rare grant of civil certiorari from the Alabama Supreme Court on complex administrative issues. These accomplishments, among others, have led Super Lawyers to recognize Jordan as a mid-south Rising Star.
At the trial level, Jordan has obtained favorable results for clients via a robust dispositive motions practice and in the courtroom. Jordan has embedded himself in trial teams across the country, working as an appellate lawyer at trial. In that role, Jordan has helped trial teams preserve key issues and argue critical motions.
Before joining the Firm, Jordan served as a law clerk for Judge Sharon L. Blackburn of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and Justice Jay Mitchell of the Alabama Supreme Court.
Jordan earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served as Senior Editor of the Alabama Law Review, Student Chapter President of the Federalist Society, and an award-winning member of the trial advocacy team. He holds a B.A., summa cum laude, in History and Political Science from the University of Alabama.
