John R. Stump

John acquired a broad range of trial experience from a diverse practice throughout Florida.

Prior to joining Maynard, John served as an Assistant State Attorney in south Florida and then joined the Florida Attorney General’s office working primarily in central Florida. John moved into civil practice by joining a prominent insurance defense firm with offices throughout the state.

In 1988, John was one of the founders of the law firm which became Stump, Dietrich & Spears, P.A. Since that time, he has concentrated his practice on complex commercial litigation, focusing on corporate and contract disputes.

John holds a degree from Vanderbilt University. He received his J.D. from Florida State University School of Law.
