Overview
John is Of Counsel in Maynard Nexsen’s Economic Development practice group. During his legal career, he has gained significant experience in real estate, corporate, and commercial transactions; probate administration; trusts and estates; contract and lease drafting and negotiation; and collection and foreclosure matters, as well as handling business, commercial, real estate, and banking litigation cases.
John now focuses his practice primarily on real estate transactions and development matters, in addition to corporate formation and related business matters. He represents a variety of clients, including residential and commercial developers, homeowners’ associations, nonprofit conservation organizations, and local public housing agencies. His broad industry knowledge, seasoned perspective, and practical approach allow him to guide his clients confidently through every stage of a transaction and to provide thoughtful counsel on a variety of related matters.
A Greenville, South Carolina native, John values the opportunity to work and serve in his hometown. He earned both his J.D. and B.A. from the University of South Carolina.
