Overview

Jenny Wang has over 25 years’ experience litigating ERISA-governed benefit disputes, as well as first-party insurance coverage disputes, on behalf of life, health and disability insurers. Jenny represents national carriers in federal and state courts in cases involving a variety of benefit claims, including long-term disability, short-term disability, life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment. She has particular experience litigating, and prevailing on, issues of standard of review, conflict-of-interest, breach of fiduciary duty, equitable relief and other appropriate remedies under ERISA.

Jenny brings deep knowledge of state-law based claims for relief alleged against insurers, including those based upon alleged bad faith, ERISA’s statutory and regulatory framework and fiduciary obligations. She regularly defends benefit determinations, guiding clients through all stages of litigation – from administrative record development, discovery disputes, dispositive motions, trials and appellate proceedings.

Jenny utilizes a strategic, cost-effective and detail-oriented approach. She partners closely with in-house counsel, claims professionals and third-party administrators to align litigation strategy with her clients’ claims practices and risk management objectives.

Jenny is a trusted advisor to insurers facing claims-related litigation and is valued for her practical guidance that balances legal precision with business realities.
