Overview
Jennifer is an Associate in the Firm’s Insurance practice group with experience representing managed care organizations and healthcare payers in complex reimbursement disputes. Her practice focuses on defending payers with nationwide operations in high-volume matters involving hundreds to thousands of claims arising out of issues of medical necessity, coverage determinations, coding and bundling disputes, and other contractual issues. Jennifer also handles ERISA health benefits litigation and provider-payer disputes with out-of-network emergency service providers under surprise billing laws in state and federal courts, as well as before the American Arbitration Association and JAMS.
Jennifer earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where she received the LEX Award in Statutory Interpretation and Regulation for the highest grade in her class and served as a Contributing Editor for the Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law
