Overview
Hollis is an Associate in the Firm’s Employment and Labor practice group. A skilled employment attorney, he has experience representing clients in single-plaintiff and multi-plaintiff discrimination lawsuits arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and other employment laws. His experience also includes contract-related disputes and employment tort litigation.
Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Hollis served as an associate at an international labor and employment law firm, where he focused on defending clients in complex employment litigation. He also served as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigator with the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission. In that role, he conducted workplace investigations, gathered and analyzed evidence, interviewed witnesses, and prepared investigative findings. During his tenure with the Commission, he investigated and closed approximately 240 cases. His experience on both the enforcement and defense sides of employment matters provides him with a well-rounded perspective that continues to inform his practice.
Hollis earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as President of the Labor and Employment Law Society. He holds a B.A. from the University of South Carolina.
