Overview

Greg is a Partner at the Firm and a trusted advisor to his clients in many areas, including corporate transactions, employment compliance and litigation, and outside general counsel. His experience spans a range of industries, including startups, retail, hospitality, biotechnology, and e‑commerce. He is an expert at applying business acumen to the difficult legal questions his clients face in all arenas. His broad legal experience continues to inform the strategic and insightful perspective he brings to each matter.

As a litigator, Greg represents companies in complex employment and commercial litigation matters, including PAGA and wage and hour class actions, single-plaintiff discrimination, and founder and investor disputes. He has also successfully handled appeals before the California Court of Appeal and Ninth Circuit.

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Greg built his practice representing entrepreneurs and established business owners, often working directly with founders to develop creative solutions in litigation, negotiation, and compliance and to proactively avoid legal pitfalls.

Before private practice, Greg worked with the California Court of Appeal and the California Department of Justice. He also completed judicial clerkships for Chief Judge Cynthia Bashant and Judge Dana Sabraw of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.  

Greg earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was a contributing member of the Interdisciplinary Law Journal. He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
