Overview
Faylynn Edwards is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Greenville, SC office, where she focuses her practice on Employment and Labor matters. She brings her skills in research and commits to helping clients navigate complex aspects of employment law and assisting in litigation matters.
While at the Firm as a Summer Associate in 2022 and 2023, Faylynn worked with multiple practice groups, conducted research, prepared legal memorandums and worked closely with her colleagues. She interned for the honorable J. Michelle Childs on the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and, briefly, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. She was also an extern for Judge DeAndre Gist Benjamin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Prior to law school, Faylynn worked as a paralegal for a solo practitioner practicing entertainment law in Atlanta, GA.
Faylynn is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. She received her B.S. in Public Relations from the University of Alabama. While in law school, Faylynn was involved in numerous organizations and served as the Black Law Students Association Director of Corporate Relations, Managing Editor of the South Carolina International Law and Business Journal and was a student member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. She received CALI Awards in Principles of Labor Law and Wrongful Convictions Seminar.
Outside Maynard Nexsen
Outside of the Firm, you can find Faylynn mentoring pre-law students interested in going to law school or law students navigating through the rigors of law school. You will also find her cheering on both the Carolina Gamecocks and the Crimson Tide during football and basketball season.
