Duncan W. Miller

Duncan Miller is a highly experienced commercial real estate attorney. His attention to detail and client-first approach results in strong long-term strategies that maximize financial flexibilities.

Duncan has experience working with some of the largest real estate owners and investors in the country. He represents clients in the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of hotel, office, industrial, multifamily, retail, and mixed-use properties. Duncan has also worked with borrowers, lenders, and investors in complex mortgage loan debt and equity workouts and restructures. He works on both sides of the transaction, with experience helping both the borrower and lender facilitate a resolution for troubled assets.

Throughout his career, Duncan has bought and sold mortgage loans for some of the largest banks, private funds, community banks, and real estate owners and operators. Duncan’s expertise and wealth of industry knowledge make him uniquely qualified to handle a variety of real estate cases.

Before joining the Firm, Duncan co-founded the Atlanta-based real estate firm Miller Lavoie, LLP. In 2025, the firm merged with Maynard Nexsen, where Duncan continues to follow his commitment to client success.
