Overview
Connor Bauknight is an Associate in the Firm’s Complex and Commercial Litigation practice, where he represents individuals and businesses in sophisticated litigation and regulatory matters in South Carolina and across the country. His practice includes commercial disputes, antitrust and class action litigation, and assisting clients with regulatory and government affairs at the state and federal levels. He also regularly handles state and federal-level litigation involving a wide range of commercial and business disputes, including contract, financial, and related matters.
Connor has experience defending clients in high-profile, complex litigation, including nationwide antitrust and class action matters. He has worked extensively on litigation involving per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including cases arising out of the In re: AFFF multidistrict litigation as well as related state class action lawsuits. Connor is also part of teams defending clients in the Realtor commission antitrust and class action litigation and in antitrust lawsuits involving the use of revenue management software. In addition to his litigation practice, Connor assists clients with navigating regulatory hurdles and developing regulatory strategies, including engagement in state-level legislative and lobbying efforts.
Before joining the Firm, Connor clerked for the Honorable H. Bruce Williams and the Honorable D. Garrison Hill of the South Carolina Court of Appeals. He earned his joint J.D./M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and the Darla Moore School of Business. During law school, Connor served on the Editorial Staff of the ABA Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Journal, was a member of the Mock Trial Bar, and worked as a research assistant for the Honorable John Cannon Few of the South Carolina Supreme Court. He received his undergraduate degree from Wofford College, where he was an NCAA Division I soccer player.
