Overview

Casey is Of Counsel in the firm's Credit & Restructuring Practice Group. His practice encompasses commercial lending, asset-based lending, and other financing and transactional matters. He represents commercial banks, financial services companies, institutional lenders, and investment funds in asset-based and leveraged lending transactions, including both single-borrower and multi-borrower secured and unsecured financings. 

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Casey worked as an Associate for an international full-service firm in their commercial lending group. He has experience drafting and negotiating primary transaction documents, coordinating deal execution, and assisting with pre-transaction diligence and transaction structuring. He also served in-house as an Assistant General Counsel, where he provided legal support for securities offerings, debt offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. Drawing on both private practice and in-house experience, Casey brings a practical, business-focused perspective to his clients' financing transactions.

Casey earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois Chicago Law School, where he served as Board Member for the International Business Law Society and the Real Estate Law Society. He holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from Western Illinois University.
