Maynard Nexsen Announces Experienced Hires to Its Cybersecurity and Privacy Team

Maynard Nexsen, a national law firm operating out of 24 offices in 10 states and Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce Brandon Robinson and Danielle Cotter have joined the firm’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Team, bringing the team up to 18 professionals strong focusing on all facets of cybersecurity and privacy, including corporate and transactional support, regulatory counseling, program design and implementation, incident response, and internal and government investigations and litigation. 

Brandon Robinson joins the firm as a Shareholder in its Birmingham office.  Brandon previously served as Chair of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Group of another large law firm.  Brandon's practice focuses primarily on three areas: cybersecurity and privacy, emerging technologies, and energy. He has advised clients on an array of international, federal, state, and sector-specific cybersecurity and privacy-related laws, regulations, and other requirements.  Brandon is a graduate of Duke University and Duke University Law School and is certified with the International Association of Privacy Professionals as both a CIPP/US and CIPP/E professional.  

Danielle Cotter joins the firm as an Associate in the firm’s Birmingham office. She utilizes her background in legislative and regulatory policy to advise companies in the rapidly evolving landscape of data privacy. Before joining Maynard Nexsen, Danielle served as Senior Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services’ Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology and Inclusion, where she advanced legislation to regulate cryptocurrencies.  Danielle is a graduate of the University of Alabama and Georgetown University Law Center.
