David Senter Receives Two Honors for his Construction Practice
Maynard Nexsen, a full-service law firm with 24 offices across the United States, is pleased to announce that David Senter, an attorney in our Construction Practice Group, was profiled in NC Lawyers Weekly's Power List for Construction Law, which highlights the top industry attorneys in the state. In addition, David was recently inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Construction Lawyers.
“David is an accomplished attorney and we are thrilled that he has been recognized both locally and nationally for his dedicated career and commitment to his clients and to his practice,” said Harper Heckman, head of Maynard Nexsen’s Construction Practice group. “He is a role model to everyone in our group, and to attorneys throughout our firm. I am pleased to have him as a colleague and a friend.”
The Lawyer’s Weekly Power List recognizes leading attorneys in a particular area of the law, as nominated by their peers. They look for lawyers who are experts in their field, well-versed in the nuances of case law, statues and regulations; Who are experienced and enjoy a record of success; Who other lawyers make referrals to because of their expertise and accomplishments; Who model professionalism and collegiality in their interactions with other members of the legal system; And who think creatively and identify all options for a client.
Fellowship in the American College of Construction Lawyers is extended by invitation to "those who are found to have mastered the practice or the teaching of construction law and dispute resolution in the complex technical and legal fields pertaining to the built environment, whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, scholarship, professionalism, and collegiality, and who have demonstrated a commitment to “give back” to the construction industry."
David Senter is a well-known and widely respected construction law attorney whose 40 years of experience speaks for itself. He has authored a variety of construction law related articles in bar and trade publications and has served in leadership positions for the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law, and the Construction Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Along with his construction law practice, David maintains an active neutral practice and is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s panel of arbitrators, and is a Certified NC Mediator.
