The piece covers how COVID-19 resulted in Centers or Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issuing Stark Law Blanket Waivers and their expected impacts during the pandemic. 


In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, on March 30, 2020, Centers for Medicareand Medicaid Services (“CMS”) issued blanket waivers of sanctions under Section 1877 of the Social Security Act (the “Stark Law”).
