Associate - Managed Care Litigation | New York
Maynard Nexsen’s Managed Care Litigation Practice Group is seeking a highly motivated mid-level associate to join its national practice. The ideal candidate will be in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, and CT), but this position offers flexibility in work location, with opportunities for hybrid or remote work arrangements to be negotiated.
Maynard Nexsen is a full-service law firm with 600 attorneys in 31 locations nationwide.
Requirements:
- Candidate must have three to seven years of general litigation and/or arbitration experience, including brief writing, legal research and analysis, and oral argument;
- Background in managed care litigation is preferred, including experience with provider contract and billing disputes, medical necessity, level of care, and coordination of benefits, as well as out of network payor-provider litigation;
- The candidate must be licensed to practice in New York. Additional bar licenses (particularly NJ , CT, and/or PA) are a plus;
- Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to the field, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a desire to assume immediate responsibility for matters and experience in a law firm;
- Candidate should be motivated, personable, articulate and able to collaborate;
- Strong academic credentials and writing skills are required;
- Preferred law school experience includes law clerk internships, moot court or law review/journal.

Maynard Nexsen’s compensation in New York is aligned with a market-rate salary scale. The annualized salary range for this position is $225,000-260,000 depending on the candidate’s experience and other job-related factors. The annual salary is one component of Maynard Nexsen’s total compensation and benefits, which includes a discretionary bonus ranging between $0-$50,000.
