Overview

John is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice group. In his practice, John develops meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients to work towards creative solutions.

John has experience supporting a variety of civil litigation matters for institutional, private, and agency clients and assists clients during all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts. He represents clients in various transactional matters, including contract negotiation, contract interpretation, and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, John worked as a litigation attorney at a national corporate law firm, where he represented clients in contractual and tort litigation, focusing primarily on construction, environmental, employment, and insurance litigation.

John previously served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Karon O. Bowdre and the Honorable R. David Proctor of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, where he conducted research and drafted opinions on Social Security appeals.

John holds a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. He earned his B.A. in Public Administration from Samford University, where he was a member of the Student Government Association and Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.
