Overview
Christopher is a member of the Trust, Estates, and Business Planning and Fiduciary Litigation practice groups.
Christopher’s practice involves estate planning, trust and estate administration, and charitable giving. He advises clients regarding their estate and succession planning needs, including preparation of wills, trusts, and other documents to implement plans to achieve their goals regarding tax planning, charitable giving, and wealth preservation. In addition, he assists fiduciaries with issues relating to the administration of estates and trusts. Christopher also advises clients with respect to business planning needs, including formation and choice of entity issues as well as succession and exit planning.
Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Christopher worked in private practice at a general practice firm handling civil, criminal, and probate litigation, including experience in state and federal court representing clients in tort claims, constitutional claims, civil rights claims, administrative actions, and estate planning and probate. Additionally, he advised on matters regarding compliance, election, and political law, and government relations. During law school, he was a judicial extern for The Honorable Henry H. Kennedy, Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Christopher received his J.D. from The American University Washington College of Law and holds a B.A. from Morehouse College.
