Maynard Nexsen’s Sasha Rao, Chair of the IP Practice, has received a series of awards in 2019 recognizing her leadership in the national intellectual property community. In January the National Law Journal featured Sasha in their special edition, “Trailblazers: Intellectual Property 2019,” which recognizes professionals who have moved the needle in the legal industry.

Following on the heels of the NLJ award, Sasha was selected by the Daily Journal, the largest legal newspaper in California, for a series of three awards. She was recognized in April for Top Intellectual Property Lawyers in California, in May as one of the Top Women Lawyers, and in June as one of the Top Artificial Intelligence Lawyers.

Sasha’s enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies has led to her being recognized as one of the leading practitioners in the emerging field of autonomy and robotics systems, including autonomous vehicles, drones, and UAVs, urban air mobility, and connected and artificially intelligent systems. Her legal subject matter expertise includes regulatory, policy, intellectual property, data rights, and legal strategy.
